Foundation statement :-

Democracy is balanced and effectively implemented by the people for the people and to the people, if you have effective media like newspapers. The present day giving effective and honest news is  like walking on a tight rope. Too many newspapers are giving opinion rather than facts. This kind of simple distortion makes people confused and not able to decide whom to choose as their leaders. That is Media outlets took either a Democratic or Republican side and gave their endorsements. People are the ones who are supposed to choose and the news media has to give facts and let the rest follow.

We have some of the best newspapers and media giants taking somebody's side, giving their opinion rather than facts. This kind of atmosphere has clearly stirred up the democracy effectively for the last 225 years. Some of the media are making a mockery of democracy and freedom of speech by the distortion of facts. Being a physician, I've faced numerous obstacles to be the perfect physician and it has been next to impossible to solve some of these given my hectic patient care duties and dedication towards my profession. I don't want to take any sides and prefer to let people solve their problems in a democratic fashion if they have good tools and facts. The public became frustrated and did not go to polls to choose the right leaders.

In life there is big difference between reality  and perception. I am making this bold move to give the public the reality of facts rather than fiction. I started "Virginia Times" as a nonprofit entity to serve effectively, the people of central Virginia, as well as to protect this great nation. "It is the Nation rather than the party The principles instead of ideology. In life, reality is more difficult than perception The facts should govern the nation -- and not the opinion" I am hopeful of delivering an effective newspaper and expect a good reception from my fellow Virginians. May God bless you all.

Sincerely,

SRI Foundation
